Service Manager at our Childcare Centre, Tewantin

“I am to provide a loving, caring, safe environment that is welcoming, warm, and inclusive to all cultures, nationalities, and abilities. An environment where children, parents, families, and educators feel safe, secure, respected, supported, and comfortable. Where partnerships and friendships can be formed and maintained, lines of communication are always open and valued, seeking help without judgement.” Read more.

I hold Confidentiality in the utmost respect. I am committed to providing high-quality care and education and one that will continue to reflect upon its practices and beliefs to reflect the current needs of the community.

Concerning children, I aim to implement an educational programme and environment that reflects both individual and group needs and promotes each child’s interests, culture, learning, development, and individuality through Reggio Emilia-inspired play, where children are thriving, capable, and confident learners. A place where children are comfortable, secure, and willing to engage in learning relationships with their peers and educators. I will endeavour to help the children understand they have the right to belong and contribute to communities and groups and be part of the bigger world.

To facilitate collaborative partnerships that involve two-way communication and negotiation, where educators and family members share information, exchange ideas, and work toward common goals. As a result of this collaborative partnership, the educators can learn more about the children, which will help them engage them and educate them more effectively.

My passion is to support and inspire my colleagues. By building trusting relationships, I have achieved successful leadership qualities.

Being a part of the Sparrow group has provided me with opportunities to learn extensively about the sector and ways which inspire, nurture, and grow our centre.
