TEWANTIN EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
Our Tewantin Childcare Centre is situated close to the Tewantin town centre and is set in a picturesque environment overlooking Lake Doonella. We are privately owned and operated by Carmen and Peter Kelly who have over 20 years of childcare experience.
Tewantin Early Learning Centre has four rooms providing care for children aged 6 weeks to school-age. All rooms are air-conditioned and have reverse-cycle heating for the cooler months. Importantly for working families, we offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program, where existing families have priority access.
You are invited to come for a tour of our Centre to meet our friendly, experienced educators and check out our fun learning environments. We want you to share in our belief of the importance of play and how it influences your child’s learning.
Our Service Manager and Educators are available to discuss the Centre’s Philosophy and operations, play & learning activities, your child’s progress or queries about your child’s care and education.
Your participation is encouraged as we believe it enhances the opportunities offered to your child.
MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
Hello, My name is Amie and I am the Service Manager at Tewantin Early Learning Centre. I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for 16 years and currently hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and currently studying my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood. Throughout my career, I have worked with all age groups and in many different roles including Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Service Manager.
My philosophy is to aim to provide a caring, meaningful and safe environment which is welcoming and inclusive to all people. As an educator I facilitate and extend children’s learning through meaningful engagements and ideas which are child iniated.
My passion is to support and inspire my colleagues. I enjoy assisting our families and nurturing children's learning. I inspire to be present and involved in all aspects of the centre and meeting the needs of our families. Through building trusting relationships I have achieved successful leadership qualities.
Being apart of the Sparrow group has provided me with opportunities to learn extensively about the sector and ways which inspire, nuture and grow our centre.
As team we aim to provide supportive relationships and work collaboratively with families and communities. I always look forward to welcoming new families and children into our centre at Tewantin to become apart of our sparrow family.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family's needs.
