SPARROW EARLY LEARNING VICTORIA POINT
Victoria Point, Queensland
ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
Sparrow Early Learning Victoria Point is situated in the bayside Brisbane suburb of Victoria Point. We have many local schools close by and within walking distance of the centre and have a great relationship with our local community.
Sparrow Early Learning Victoria Point is a 75 place service that caters for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and has 5 rooms within the service for different age groups. There is a large car park at the front of the service and easy access into the building. We also have a large outdoor play space for children aged 2 – 5, a separate babies play area and a large shady play space for our Toddler children.
Sparrow Early Learning Victoria Point also offers a unique sleep room for the Toddler children, which has wooden sleigh beds and mattresses.
We pride ourselves on our great relationships with our families and we welcome their contributions in all areas of learning, including service decisions. We like to work with our families as co-educators and we greatly value their input.
Sparrow Early Learning Victoria Point is a loving, warm environment where children can feel safe, secure and supported during their time with us. We acknowledge each child is unique and let all children learn and develop at their own pace.
All of our Educators are qualified and passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care, they aim to provide good quality care in all areas of the National Quality Standards and achieve good quality outcomes for all children.
We have a qualified Early Childhood Teacher working at the service who
delivers a government approved Kindergarten Program to our kindergarten
age children. Our goal is to ensure our kindergarten children are best
prepared to transition to prep and the school environment.
MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
Hi my name is Christine and I have been the service manager here at sparrow since 2015. I relocated from England in 2003 and began my career in early childcare. I wish I had begun earlier in England as this job has been so rewarding being able to create family bonds and make many memories. My journey began at this centre in 2008 as an assistant educator and over the last 12 years I have advanced my professional growth within this service and in 2015 I accepted the role as Service manager. Being a service manger with Sparrow has enabled me to grow and do what I am passionate about which is working with my educators, children, families and the wider community to provide quality child care.
I am proud to say that we have so many long standing staff so we are more than just an early education facility, we are a family and nothing brings us greater joy than opening our arms to welcome more of our community into our family. Greeting each child is just one of my favourite parts of my day, nothing brightens my day more than seeing a child ready to learn through play based experiences. Watching each child grow in confidence and being part of their learning journey is a true privilege that we feel very lucky to be part of. I love being able to see our children engaged in play, exploring their world and being part of their daily routine. I pride myself on working closely with each of our staff to foster their own learning journeys and passions, giving our children the widest range of experience from our educators who come from different walks of life and culture.
I believe that supporting our families, staff and community makes Sparrow at Victoria Point stand out from the rest.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family's needs.
