MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
Wunya/Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning Sandstone Point! My name is Merinda and I have been working in the Early Years Education sector for over 20 years. I have lived and worked locally my entire life and am extremely passionate about striving for an excellent service which nurtures, educates and supports all children.
I believe that community involvement is crucial in supporting children and their families and for children to grow and learn about ways they can support their community - which is why we actively incorporate this into our program. We support the local Bribie Island State School run a playgroup, have a regular Beach Kindy program at the Sandstone Point foreshore and participate in other community events/support charities and network with local services. I believe that all children should learn about the First Nations People which is why we have built reciprocal relationships with Indigenous Peoples in the community.
I believe that all services should be inclusive of all children and am proud of our Strategic Inclusion Plan with KU Children services, and the networking we do with other local community support groups to ensure that all children and their families feel supported.
I look forward to welcoming your family to Sparrow Sandstone Point and having you become a part of our extended Sparrow family as we nurture and educate your child in their Early Years.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and educators that supports the family's needs.
