Pacific Pines, Queensland

Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning Pacific Pines, our Service cares for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age. We are a large Service which offers eleven rooms, two of those are Nursery and two being Preschool. We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, nappies, wipes and sunscreen.

At Sparrow Early Learning Pacific Pines, we believe that building a strong community ties provides a safe and enjoyable learning environment which then builds lifelong learners. We provide a play-based program which is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework.

We pride ourselves on our great relationships with our families and we welcome their contributions in all areas of learning, including service decisions. We like to work with our families as co-educators and we greatly value their input.

All our Educators are qualified and passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care, they aim to provide good quality care in all areas of the National Quality Standards and achieve good quality outcomes for all children.

We have two qualified Early Childhood Teachers working at the service who deliver a Government Approved Kindergarten Program to our Preschool aged children.  Our goal is to ensure our Preschool children are prepared the best they can be to make the transition to prep, we achieve this by working closely with our local schools.

My name is Fiona and I am the proud Service Manager of Sparrow Early Learning Pacific Pines. My partner and I have 3 wonderful girls who are all enrolled in Primary School. I have lived in Pacific Pines for over 10 years and feel grateful to be a part of our local community.

I started my career in Early Childhood as a trainee at a small, family owned Service over 20 years ago. During this time, I have had many opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge which has supported me in my numerous roles. I have a passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility which I enjoy sharing with the children, families, team, and community at our Service.

Along with my passion for sustainability, I also believe that having strong relationships builds the foundation for trust with both children and families. I believe that once trusting relationships have been formed, we then have the opportunity to foster the children’s independence and begin developing their love of learning. I believe it is crucial that we foster children’s emotional resilience and self-confidence to ensure they have a positive disposition to learning.

Each and every day our team strives to ensure Sparrow Early Learning Pacific Pines is a warm and welcoming environment for our children, families and community. I look forward to meeting you soon.
