About Sparrow Early Learning Centre in Grant Street, Drouin

Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning Grant Street! We are a brand new, purpose-built facility in the heart of Drouin, Victoria centrally located next to Drouin Primary School. We offer early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Read more.

From infants up to Kindergarten, we encourage children to be active participants in their learning. We value a play-based approach to learning which is child led and interest based.

Our studios are spacious and are filled with natural light. Here, children have the opportunity to learn through play with stimulating resources and materials where they can explore, experiment, discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways.

We have wonderful, natural outdoor play spaces, including a water play area, a veggie patch, sand play areas and luscious grassed areas for children to explore, grow and play.

Our onsite Chef serves nutritious meals which are freshly prepared in-house with rotating menus which have been developed to ensure our children receive a well-balanced diet. We offer progressive mealtimes and cater for all dietary requirements.

Our curriculum incorporates incursions as well as excursions, creating opportunities to explore our local community. We offer ‘Little Big Sports’ movement program who attend the service on a weekly basis.

Our team at Grant Street are passionate advocates for children. They are dedicated to providing a safe, joyful environment that nurtures relationships and each child’s holistic development as they move through their years at Sparrow.

We welcome you and your family to our service and invite you to join us for a play and an opportunity to explore Sparrow Early Learning Grant Street.

Service Manager at our Childcare Centre on Grant Street, Drouin

“I am a passionate, organised and vibrant leader of our amazing service in the small community of Drouin and surrounds, welcoming everyone as they come in the door with a smile and welcoming nature.” Read more.

I have over 12 years of experience and knowledge within the early education and care industry, holding my diploma qualification. Always wanting to stive for the best and extend my knowledge and professional development within Sparrow and use this to guide all members of the team and families.

As a service we recognise that all children are capable learners and should be given the opportunity to engage in open ended experiences. So, our role as Educators is to scaffold each child’s learning and development while in our care.

I strive to inspire, support, guide and evoke passion into my amazing team of educators to be the best they can be as we all work together to create an environment that feels like a second home to all children, families and our wider community.

Both myself and the amazing team of educators want everyone that walks in the door to feel welcomed, safe, secure, and supported. Each child will be supported to build trusting and respectful relationships with their educators to grow, learn and develop into confident and capable learners.

I welcome you to come and visit our family orientated service and see for yourself the environment that our Educators and Myself have created for your child’s care and education.

They say that it takes a village to raise a child and I am thankful and glad every day that I get to be a part of all your family’s village’s!
