SPARROW EARLY LEARNING ALKIMOS
Alkimos, Western Australia
ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
We cater for children aged from birth to 6 years. We have a fantastic purpose built centre with four very spacious rooms, well stacked with resources for the children to interact with. Our centre is licensed for 72 children per day and is open from 6.30am to 6.30pm. Included in our fees are nutritious meals which are freshly prepared by our in-house cook and menus have been developed to ensure our children receive a well-balanced diet.
We have wonderful natural outdoor play spaces, including a water play area, a veggie patch, sand play areas, luscious grassed areas for the children to crawl, walk and run on and a small forest of tress to explore in.
We have had incursions and also started going on excursions in the community. We have ‘Happy Feet’ dance and movement program and ‘Yoga Lisa’ come to our centre on a regular basis. We provide a wide range of activities and experiences on our programs.
Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, friendly environment that nurtures your child’s social and educational development. Our aim is to provide experiences so that children become successful, competent and capable learners. Whether you are looking for a new care and education centre or placing your child into care for the first time, feel confident that we will provide you outstanding service.
We welcome you to drop in at any time to learn more about our fabulous centre.
MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
Hello, my name is Lisa Curran and I am the Service Manager at Sparrow Early Learning Alkimos. I’m originally from Ireland but I have lived in Perth for almost 9 years. I’ve always loved working with children and have been in Early Childhood Education for as long as I can remember.
Before making the move to Australia I lived and studied in the UK for 3 years and it was there I completed my Degree in Psychology. When I arrived in Australia, I worked in disability caring and then was lucky enough to get job as an assistant director. I then completed my Diploma in Early Education and Care and quickly progressed to the Director position.
I have since taken a year out to have my daughter, Harper. I believe that even though I have worked in Early Childhood Education for many years, I now have a totally new understanding into what it means for parents to leave their children at our service each day and I strive to provide our families with the best care and learning experiences that I envisage for my daughter.
I look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you into our service.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family's needs.
