Leaves Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a Long Day Care and Kindergarten service that provides education and care for children aged 3 months to 6 years.

The rooms in our service are separated into the following age groups:

  • 3 – 12 months

  • 12 – 18 months

  • 18 - 24 months

  • 24 – 30 months

  • 2½ – 3 year old

  • 3 – 4 year old

  • 4 – 5 year old (kindergarten)

Our qualified Kindergarten teacher has over 20 years’ experience teaching and all educators hold qualifications in the industry.

At Leaves ELC we limit the number of children to 12 per room up to 3 years of age.  Many studies over the years, have shown that younger children generally learn and develop better in smaller environments.  By limiting the number of children in each room, we ensure that each child receives maximum care and is offered the best opportunities for their development.  We are committed to providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment for every child that attends the service.

The service offers an educational program tailored to each developmental age group, from the nursery up to and including our 4-year-old preschool program.  Our aim is to ensure that your child is best prepared to attend primary school in the following year.  The preschool program is managed and delivered by a Bachelor Qualified Kindergarten teacher and our team of early childhood educators are carefully selected to ensure they have the appropriate qualifications and experience.

Leaves ELC offers four spacious, natural outdoor play areas with six large shade structures.  We strongly believe in children learning through play in natural environments and having choices of kinesthetic, visual and verbal learning.  Our service and educators are expected to follow the Cancer Council’s Sun Smart policy.

As parents of young children, we understand that the decision to commit to childcare and early learning can be very emotional and challenging.  We are committed to the care and education of every child and believe the early years are a unique and important stage of a child’s life.  We promote a healthy lifestyle for all children by offering a balanced diet, a comprehensive menu and exceptional role-modelling by all educators.

Hi, my name is Monica and I am the Service Manager of Leaves Early Learning Centre.

I have over 15 years’ experience in the Early Childhood sector, having worked as an Educator, qualified kindergarten teacher and most recently a Service Manager. I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and post graduate degrees in Primary and Early Childhood teaching.

The love of working with little children has steered me on a rewarding career pathway to become an Early Childhood Teacher and then a Centre Manager. I enjoy working with children. I’m passionate about helping them flourish and mature to eventually become positive members of society, active leaders within their communities and be complete and content people within themselves. To help children reach their maximum potential and be the best they can be, l strongly believe that families and educators need to work as a team. I’m a mother of three with 2 boys and a girl. 1 son is at University and my other teenager son and young daughter are still living at home with me and my two cats.
