ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
Honey Beez Early Learning Centre is situated in the suburb of Bayswater in Victoria. It is a 55 place Centre with 4 rooms offering care and support for the needs of children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years.
The babies’ room has a separate outdoor play area, shaded for the warmer months of the year.
The outside play area has a large deck, shaded sandpit, climbing area, vegetable and mud patch as well as quiet areas for children to investigate and immerse themselves in outdoor play.
All rooms have quiet areas for children to access. Beds are provided for rest and sleep time daily.
Local schools, shops and transport are all within walking distance of the centre, which is located in a quiet suburban street with a horseshoe shaped driveway for easy drop off and pickup.
We take pride in the relationships built with our children and families, we encourage and value the children and families input as well as encouraging them to take part in various community events held during the year.
Honey Beez Early Learning Centre is a warm and caring setting where children are able to inquire, investigate and learn whilst being supported by the caring and qualified educators. Our Educators are passionate about early childhood education, providing all children with quality care in all areas of the National Quality Standards and encouraging, inspiring and extending each child to develop a desire for lifelong learning.
MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
My name is Alanah and I have worked in the childcare industry since 2007.
I started in childcare doing an apprenticeship for my Certificate 3 in Children’s services while I worked full time. I then decided I wanted to further my knowledge and passion and completed my Diploma of Children’s services. I found that I wanted to continue to push myself further and continue to learn, so I completed my Advanced Diploma in Children’s services and then my Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management.
I worked my way up from being an assistant, to running rooms within all age groups. I became an Educational Leader and a Second in Charge (2IC). I was then given the opportunity to work as a Centre Manager. While working as a 2IC, my passion for teaching others my skills grew. I then went and completed my Teaching as Assessing Certificate 4. This gave me so much confidence in the industry and being able to be a stronger role model. I have worked for privately owned centres, small cluster group centres and corporate companies.
I have been a Service Manager for 3 and a half years and have loved every minute of it. I relish the opportunity to guide other Educators and love having the ability to teach different ways to approach situations. Being hands on with children and parents every minute of my day and making the centre the best it possibly can be, is my favorite part of my position.
I am very passionate about what I do and take pride in our Service. I am very strong on open and honest communication and being there to support everyone at all times.
On a personal note, I do not yet have children of my own however my partner and I have a beautiful dog, who we adore and I am an Aunty to 7 children. Since watching my nieces and nephews grow up, my understanding of the importance of quality childcare and respect for parents has continued to grow stronger.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family's needs.
