ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING SERVICE
At Gumnuts Childcare we offer a safe, nurturing and happy environment while delivering educational programs that are stimulating, engaging and enhance children's learning and development. We aim to provide the facilities, resources and learning experiences that meet the diverse range of abilities and interests of all children.
We have 4 Reggio inspired learning spaces. All rooms are air-conditioned and have reverse-cycle heating for the cooler months. Importantly for working families, we offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program, where existing families have priority access.
We invite your family to take a tour of our Service and where you will meet our friendly, experienced Educators and experience our fun learning environments. We want you to share in our belief of the importance of play and how it influences your child’s learning.
Our Service Manager and Educators are available to discuss the Service's Philosophy and operations, play & learning activities, your child’s progress or queries about your child’s care and education.
Your participation is encouraged as we believe it enhances the opportunities offered to your child.
MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
My name is Kim and I am the Service Manager at Gumnuts Childcare. I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for many years and currently hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education. Throughout my career, I have worked with all age groups and in many different roles including Early Childhood Teacher, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Service Manager.
My philosophy is to aim to provide a caring, meaningful and safe environment which is welcoming and inclusive to all people. As an Educator I facilitate and extend children’s learning through meaningful engagements and ideas which are child lead.
My passion is to support and inspire my colleagues. I enjoy assisting our families and nurturing children's learning. I inspire to be present and involved in all aspects of the centre and meeting the needs of our families. Through building trusting relationships I have achieved successful leadership qualities.
Being apart of the Sparrow group has provided me with opportunities to learn extensively about the sector and ways which inspire, nuture and grow our centre.
As team we aim to provide supportive relationships and work collaboratively with families and communities. I always look forward to welcoming new families and children into our centre at Buderim to become apart of the Sparrow community.

WAITLIST & ENROLMENT PROCESS
We promote an open door policy where families can visit the centre at any time during operational hours and are offered a walk through and an overview of what we provide and offer as a centre.
Once families have completed a tour they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.
Once enrolled, the orientation process begins.
The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family's needs.
